Carrie is the Revenue Cycle Manager for First Mile Care, responsible for overseeing optimization of the entire revenue cycle. A seasoned health information professional, she ensures accurate billing to improve revenue and reduce claim denials in addition to serving as the company’s HIPAA Privacy Officer. Carrie brings 25 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience to First Mile Care, having previously been the director of both health information management and business office departments at Horn Memorial Hospital in Iowa, as well as serving on committees for compliance, HIPAA, medical staff, and strategic planning. She holds a certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) from the American Health Information Management Association and a master’s degree in Health Information and Informatics Management from the University of Tennessee.
