First Mile Care’s founder and CEO Karl Ronn is a globally successful entrepreneur and advisor to top management at Fortune 500 companies. During his 30-year tenure in management at consumer powerhouse Procter & Gamble, Karl rose to the post of vice president of R&D and general manager of new business/healthcare; in that position, he oversaw global R&D for pharmaceuticals and over-the-counter health care and was responsible for developing P&G’s capability to deliver disruptive innovations. Karl created entirely new brands that are globally revered, including Swiffer, Febreze, and Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. As a result of his strategic insights and understanding of consumer behavior, the new categories rapidly grew to $1 billion in annual sales. Karl has also founded multiple startups and consults with Fortune 500 companies wanting to create billion-dollar growth engines. His book on turning disruption into business through partnerships, “The Reciprocity Advantage,” has received accolades from CEOs and academics alike. Karl also currently serves in an advisory capacity at Health2047, Inc.
Chief Operating Officer
Daphne is Chief Operating Officer at First Mile Care. During her career, she has helped launch and scale numerous technology-based startups as well as identify and develop new growth areas for Fortune 500 brands. Her passion for scaling companies started at Bain & Company where she served on the business acceleration team, helping early-stage companies develop business models, secure investments, launch products, and scale operations. Prior to joining Health2047 Inc., Daphne was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Enterprise at SaaS platform provider Upwork where she grew new sales by 850%. She also led marketing and product management at ADP, transforming a shrinking claims business into a SaaS platform and data business that was sold for $1B. Additionally, as Director of Strategy for Apple’s $1.2B Education group, Daphne forged strategic partnerships, co-created a new sales model, and helped redefine Apple’s education market offering. She holds both an MBA and a BA in Economics from Stanford.
Roel is a Product Manager at First Mile Care. An entrepreneur by background, his career has spanned IT, product management, and digital strategy. Prior to joining the First Mile Care team, he served as the CEO of a mobile application development consultancy in Amsterdam, where he worked with technology companies across Europe and successfully spun off an educational technology venture. Early in his career, he served in product development roles at Deloitte and the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration. Roel has completed Executive Education coursework with a focus on Artificial Intelligence at the MIT Sloan School of Management and Stanford University. He holds a degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the University of Antwerp.
Physician Engagement Manager
Nancy is Physician Engagement Manager at First Mile Care. Previously, Nancy worked as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company where she covered strategy and operations for healthcare, high tech and retail clients. She advised companies on topics including growth, process integration, sales effectiveness, and international expansion. Nancy’s experience also spans clinical research at the Palo Alto Veteran’s Hospital, investment banking at Needham & Company and venture capital at a Taiwanese fund. She holds a M.S. in Biology from Stanford and a B.S. in Biology from Caltech.
Head of Coaching
Juliana is Head of Coaching at First Mile Care. Previously, she served as a business analyst for Health2047 Inc., where she analyzed current efforts for reversing prediabetes and developed a model to address the prediabetes epidemic. Juliana has also worked with a financial services start up to define target markets and develop effective new customer acquisition programs. She holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Mount Holyoke College.
